Caterina’s Bistro at Da Vinci’s Hotel
The menu at this bustling restaurant simply sings with local ingredients: the Doherty’s sausages and Grant’s streaky bacon in your breakfast fry-up, the Eglinton farm eggs and Derry oak-smoked salmon at brunch, the homemade bread, freshly caught fish and succulent lamb at dinner. Caterina’s (named after Leonardo da Vinci’s mother, hence the gorgeously decadent interior and renaissance-style artwork) has picked up plenty of awards, not just for its food – including its excellent Sunday lunch offering – but its ambience and overall experience. The welcoming atmosphere here is just as memorable as the food on the plate.
