Soda and Starch
Located in the heart of Derry’s traditional Craft Village, this family-run restaurant is all about seasonality, provenance and flavour. You’ll find local cheeses and brews, farm-to-plate rare breeds, flax-fed aged beef, freshly picked vegetables and oysters from Lough Foyle. Chefs Ray and Chris are also passionate about sustainability and are working towards having a zero-waste kitchen.
The atmosphere here is cosy and relaxed, with framed caricatures on the walls celebrating the city’s most famous sons and daughters – from the Undertones to Seamus Heaney – and a map showing exactly where the food on your plate has come from.
Patrons can also dine on in our covered outdoor seating for a comfortable al fresco experience.
