Castle Street Social

In the heart of city, against the stunning backdrop of our 400-year-old walls, you’ll find this buzzing, casual dining restaurant. Popular with visitors and Derry residents alike, Castle Street Social’s regularly updated menu celebrates local and seasonal ingredients, from award-winning Corndale Farm chorizo, to homemade ‘hot hot’ sauce laced with Dopey Dick Red Ale.

The food, like the atmosphere, is fun and unpretentious. A combination of innovative international cuisine and classic dishes, vegan options and decadent desserts. And don’t miss the wonderful homemade stout wheaten bread, head chef and owner David Lafferty’s “all-time favourite recipe – I could make this in my sleep!”.

Castle Street Social’s ever-evolving cocktail menu will keep you on your toes, too. The Hart of the City cocktail showcases LegenDerry’s very own Earhart Gin (and, when available, includes juicy berries foraged from Lafferty’s grandfather’s hedgerows).
