If you go down to the woods today, you might just spot a little blue caravan serving the most gorgeous homemade treats.
Ideal for a picnic or pitstop, Offing Coffee is located along the Foyle Greenway Cycle Path from Derry to Carrigans – known here as ‘Out the Line’. Walk or cycle from the city and build up an appetite as you follow the curve of the River Foyle, or drive along the Letterkenny Road and look out for signs for the van, just off Balloughry Road.
On arrival, you’ll be rewarded with excellent, locally-roasted coffee and artisanal bakes packed with imaginative flavour combinations – think jumbo white chocolate and miso cookies, pistachio and rose blondies, or oaty, salted caramelitas. They’re all baked by owner Stephanie, who transformed a run-down 1980s caravan into this cute coffee shop on wheels.
