Offing Coffee
Our journey began during the challenges of the pandemic when our founder, Stephanie, faced redundancy and decided to turn that adversity into an opportunity and follow her passion for coffee.
Stephanie first delved into the world of specialty coffee while working in Melbourne coffee shops back in 2011 and dreamt of having her own little spot for the 10 years that followed.
In May 2021, Offing Coffee started as a humble coffee cart crafted from a 1980’s caravan that she renovated with her Dad.
Nestled in a little picturesque field at Milltown Farm along a popular walkway colloquially known as “Out the Line”, our mobile coffee haven quickly became a cherished spot for locals and visitors alike. Surrounded by the beauty of nature and the gentle company of cows, we forged a unique experience that went beyond a simple cup of coffee.
For two years, we embraced the open spaces and rustic charm of our field setup, building a loyal community of coffee enthusiasts who appreciated the simplicity and authenticity of Offing Coffee and what we had to offer.
Then in April 2023, Offing Coffee embarked on a new chapter, relocating to our current brick and mortar premises along the River Foyle, while still staying true to our roots – “Out the Line.”
Our coffee shop by the river is not just a place to grab your daily caffeine fix; it’s a destination where the love for quality coffee blends seamlessly with the beauty of our surroundings. The calming flow of the river, the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the warm ambiance of our space create an atmosphere where you can unwind, socialize, or simply enjoy a moment of solitude. We are also currently producing retail products in our kitchen to sell our granola and our spiced tomato chutney.
